SEVEN HEAVENS by Carla Wills-Brandon

by: Carla Wills-Brandon

As a religion, Judaism famously is a bit vague about any potential continuation after the death of our physical body. However, Carla Wills-Brandon does uncover references to Jewish mysticism and afterlife encounters in the ancient Hebrew texts, including the Torah, the Talmud, the Zohar, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the writings of the early Kabbalists. She shows how these works describe not only experiences of heaven but also near-death experiences (NDEs), after-death contact, reincarnation, and deathbed visions of crossed-over loved ones. She also shares accounts of modern-day spiritual encounters along the same lines. She goes on to underline that believing in life after death can give us a bigger picture and help us live a more fulfilling life. In the case of being Jewish, this can help with the vast trauma of the Holocaust, which can manifest as PTSD in later generations.
