The first gives you your breathing toolkit of different techniques. The second shows you how to apply them in everyday life and chapters include Breathing for Daily Life, for Sleep, for Exercise and for Meditation. The final part is probably the most interesting of all: Letting Go of the Breath. So it’s about preparing for death, for the cessation of breathing. The author has done a lot of training in Asia and in their spiritual traditions, and this is where the book differs from many of the other books out there about breathing. It does have a spiritual impulse but of course it is at all times immensely practical.
