At Cygnus we tend to focus on the “gentler” approaches to personal growth, which originate from within, but it’s important also to cultivate a certain resolution that’s outward-looking and more pragmatic. I only heard of “grit” fairly recently, but when this book landed I was excited to read it and it hasn’t disappointed. I think what’s important with this approach is evidence, and there’s plenty here. Caroline, who is a Positive Psychology expert, writes succinctly and purposefully on how to unearth our own grit, which will enable us to resist all the many distractions of this modern world and hone in on our own self-realization.
