This very helpful book was written by a Cygnus member and is a thorough approach to dealing with chronic worrying. It’s important to stress here that she is not a professional in the field but has tried working with her crippling worry for 25 years and in the process of this work and all the reading and studying she has done, she has come up with an approach that has helped her immensely. It has also helped others and there’s nothing weird, confrontational or wildly unconventional in it. In this five-step approach she works with affirmations and guided imagery. There are no superfluous anecdotes or scene-setting here but she stays right on the point with key point summaries and clear tips. Of course if it becomes more serious you would need to seek professional advice but this seems to me to put forward a clear and confident approach to getting better.
