This is a book about Tantra, by a British author of Indian descent. She is clearly very well-versed in the tradition which you can see from the quotes she includes from various sutras, but it’s also written in an easy-going and conversational style, full of personal anecdotes. She describes how she was living a high-achieving but empty lifestyle until she realised how empty she felt and when the crisis came she turned to the traditions of her Indian heritage. The book is primarily about sensuality rather than sexuality, but amongst the plentiful practical exercises there are some that have a sexual aspect. There are chapters that explain about the chakras and about an ayurvedic approach to health and diet. There are also Indian myths and legends retold throughout the text.
