JERUSALEM FILES by Corjan Mol and Christopher Morford

This is a combination of a rip-roaring story (think The Da Vinci Code crossed with Indiana Jones) and fascinating, real-life, in-depth historical sleuthing and revelation. The whereabouts of the ancient Jewish Menorah have long been shrouded in mystery, and it’s taken two driven and enthusiastic historical researchers cum treasure hunters to track it down. It’s quite a story, detailing the lengthy journey travelled by the Menorah, which, having been dug up from Temple Mount by the Knights Templar and then travelled through the French court, ends up “in plain sight” in America some 800 years later. It’s a labyrinthine tale, peppered with interpretations of symbols, anagrams, hidden messages and astonishing pieces of luck, but it’s undoubtedly gripping.
