My Year in Small Drawings is a beautiful, creative little package that would make a great gift for any avid doodler. It encourages you to draw a series of small drawings on a particular subject, arranged by season. I particularly like how the author talks about embracing imperfection, and taking the pressure off a drawing being perfect by doing lots of small drawings – it will allow people who think they could never draw the opportunity to try, enjoy it, and improve. I’m particularly looking forward to drawing things like “people looking at their phones” or “lost or discarded things”.
