This handbook covers all the self-help tools that Alison used to cope with and recover from breast cancer. She lives in the UK so the book is usefully tuned into the medical experience in this country. I can imagine that having a book like this would be a huge confidence booster. It’s beautifully written and also full of all the latest medical research. It’s also full of spiritual approaches to the illness but it doesn’t disregard conventional medicine in the slightest. When your world has been turned upside down, this is like taking the healing journey with a close and wise friend alongside you.
