Don Alberto Taxo is one of the most celebrated shamans in the Americas. He is also a spiritual elder and healer from the Atik people of the Andes in Ecuador. For 20 years he has taught in the United States, as well as other places, in an attempt to fulfill the ancient prophecy that the Eagle and the Condor will fly together, as the relationship between North and South America was described in legend. There’s a bit of biography in there but the book mostly consists of don Alberto’s words and descriptions of his work. On top of that, there are experiential accounts from students and clients of his of the teaching he has done or the healings they have undergone. Everyone agrees that these are the teachers we need to listen to and learn from in these challenging times.
