This is a great introduction to meditation and to establishing a spiritual practice, especially for young people. The author developed these techniques because of the anxiety and depression she suffered – these are hard-won gains and consequently have been rigorously tested. She talks straightforwardly about how meditation works and about its value. There follow the 27 practices, including along with them personal stories about how she came up with them and how they can help. There have to be several practices here that will appeal to any specific beginner and it’s so exciting to know that with this book the spiritual novice holds the key to changing their life.
