This is one of the most informative tarot books I have read for some time. People tend to treat the court cards as poor relations within the deck but in fact the archetypes in these cards offer huge potential in terms of insight into people’s personalities, their more public faces that they show in daily interactions. Ethony is a young reader and teacher who discusses the tarot in a more contemporary way, for example in terms of gender and social hierarchy. Getting to know the court offers a great opportunity for self-analysis and self-knowledge. Her book goes through every card, with illustrations from two decks, and it also includes exercises and space for self-questioning. I think this book could do wonders for our tarot reading skills.
