Everything is a Present is a deeply moving, satisfying and completely delightful documentary about Alice Herz-Sommer. Aged 106 at the time of filming, Alice is concert pianist and lives alone in a small flat in Belsize Park where she still practices the piano for two and a half hours every day. As a young woman she spent two years in a Nazi concentration camp with her six-year-old son, where she played over 100 concerts. In this film she explains the philosophy that enabled her to remain positive and forgiving regardless of all the harrowing experiences she has had, and shares the wisdom she has gleaned from her long years on this Earth.
